A menagerie of artists (including Ron Rege jr, Dan Zettwoch, Tony Millionaire and Ben Jones) create comics and illustrations inspired by Where The Wild Things Are. This one, by Sammy Harkham is amongst my faves.

No idea how I missed this, so thanks to the wonderful http://drawn.ca/ for, er...drawing my attention to it. What Things Do features comics by three of my favourites, Jordan Crane, Ted May and Sammy Harkham. Crane in particular has been generous, filling the archive 'stacks' with an array of his older and/or out of print work.
A site to bookmark and revisit, for sure. Hurrah!

I really like Mark Todd's reimagined/deconstructed/reconstructed (delete as appropriate or add your own descriptive) comic book covers. They're deceptively simple with (very literal) layers combining to create the images, along with handwritten text/titles. They're pretty cool. I'd definitely buy more superhero comics if they were wrapped up like this.
Great interview with one of my all time favourite cartoonists (and artists in general), Jordan Crane. A good few of his prints grace my walls and his comics (including the near legendary Non no.5) sit on my bookshelves. Check out his website, http://reddingk.com/ for more inky goodness.
Posted for no reason other than everyone needs a little Alpha Flight in their life from time to time. Seriously, happened across some comic book stuff on BoingBoing and was struck by a wave of nostalgia.
