'Rainmaker' by Martin Wittfooth

Stunning imagery from Wittfooth's new show, 'Tempest' at the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica.

Beautifully composed teetering stacks of architecture, linked by floating roads and webs of power cables and phone lines from Cleveland, Ohio based painter Amy Casey.
Lots of gorgeous, strange and busy illustration work from Zohar Lazar along with a neat collection of (I assume) more personal work.

Leah Giberson's mixed media work (acrylic and embroidery threads on cut-up photography and canvas) are beautiful and calming, exuding the stillness of suburbia in , I think, a very positive sense. I particularly like (as above) the recurring imagery of the wrapped up car. She also does a particularly grand Airstream caravan.
Peculiarly American and simultaneously universal I keep coming back to her website (www.leahgiberson.com) for another look but here I'm linking directly to her well-stocked Etsy shop, primarily featuring digital prints of her originals. I've yet to make a purchase, but this is something I'd like to rectify in the New Year.

Atmospheric, architectural paintings with amazing colour palettes.

Portland, Oregon artist Ryan Bubnis works in a lot of different mediums and in both two and three dimensions. Amongst the work found on his Flickr page are a number of paper mache models and a few (like above) found object-painted faces.
I particularly like this one on an old paint bucket with spiky, pine cone hair.
Check out Ryan's website, www.ryanbubnis.com for more work and his Etsy store for a few choice items available for purchase, www.etsy.com/shop/Bubnis
